Adam Carolla joins Sage Steele for a wide-ranging and unfiltered conversation about California, the media, and where the country is heading. Adam explains the viral trick behind his Gavin Newsom interview, how he reassigned every word of the transcript to a Burt Reynolds voice and a generic NPR reporter to expose what was really said, and recounts the night he ambushed Newsom on live television with 22 seconds to think of a question. He and Sage get into why the media lost its way, why so many young voters are drawn to democratic socialism, the demographic shift he thinks explains it, and the red tape stalling the rebuild after the Los Angeles fires. Adam also confirms he has finally broken ground on a new home in Nevada after years of talking about leaving, and reflects on why standup comedy became the last place you could tell the truth. Racing, journalism, gender dynamics, and the state of American cities, with plenty of laughs along the way. New episodes of The Sage Steele Show every week. Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton joins Sage Steele for one of the most remarkable life stories in sports. Scott opens up about the childhood illness that baffled doctors from Toledo to Boston Children's, being adopted at six weeks old, and the discovery 35 years later that finally explained everything. He shares how getting fired by Ice Capades led him to create Stars on Ice, the disastrous first show that literally caught fire, why he threw his Olympic broadcast binder in the trash, and the moment Kristi Yamaguchi changed the tour forever. Scott also reveals the rule that got him through stage 3 testicular cancer and a brain tumor, the lesson his mother taught him during her own cancer battle, meeting his wife Tracy, adopting two children from Haiti, and the two kinds of criticism every person needs to learn to filter. From living in a friend's basement with a gold medal to selling out Madison Square Garden, this is Scott Hamilton unfiltered on faith, family, failure, and fighting for joy. John C. Maxwell has written 92 books, sold tens of millions of copies, and at 79 years old still wakes up at 4:30AM without an alarm. He says it is not discipline. It is anticipation. In this conversation we get into everything. Why he felt special at age four sitting alone in his backyard. The fifth grade teacher who changed his life by telling him he was a leader. How he got four girls to do all his homework from seventh grade through high school. Why his father paid him to read books instead of doing chores, and how that dinner table habit put him decades ahead of his peers. The exact moment a mentor told him to write for people he would never meet, which became the foundation of every book he has ever written. Why he is a growth person, not a goal person, and why goal setters plateau while growth minded people never stop. His personal definition of success at age 35 that still anchors him at 79. What a billionaire said about failure that became the seed of his 92nd book, How to Get a Return on Your Failure. Why success and failure belong together and what happens when you separate them. The pilot story that saved his life and taught him why anticipating failure is not pessimism but wisdom. And why he says if you don't give when you have a little you will not give when you have a lot. John C Maxwell interview, John C Maxwell books, How to Get a Return on Your Failure, John C Maxwell leadership, John C Maxwell morning routine, John C Maxwell failure, Sage Steele Show, Maxwell success definition, Maxwell 92 books, Maxwell failure and success. As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, I wanted to have a conversation that reminds us what that freedom has cost and why it should never be taken for granted. In this special episode of The Sage Steele Show, I sit down with retired Navy SEAL Jason Redman, who survived being shot multiple times during a brutal ambush in Iraq and went on to inspire millions through his message of leadership, resilience, accountability, and purpose. Jason shares what happened on September 13, 2007, the day he calls his "rebirth day," and how surviving the battlefield was only the beginning of his greatest fight. We talk about faith, overcoming trauma, the challenges veterans face after coming home, the power of personal responsibility, and why our hardest moments often become the foundation for our greatest purpose. We also discuss the importance of honoring those who have served, raising resilient children, finding strength through adversity, and what patriotism means as America marks its 250th anniversary. Whether you're a veteran, a leader, an entrepreneur, a parent, or simply someone looking for hope during a difficult season, I think you'll walk away encouraged by Jason's remarkable story. Thank you to every man and woman who has worn the uniform and to the families who have sacrificed alongside them. Happy America 250. Gad Saad is back and this conversation went everywhere. He is an evolutionary behavioral scientist, bestselling author of The Parasitic Mind, and his new book is called Suicidal Empathy. We get into what suicidal empathy actually means and why he compares it to a hairworm that drives a cricket to drown itself, why open border policies are the most damaging real world example of it, the British grooming gang scandal and the specific identity of the men involved that nobody wanted to name, why social scientists abandoned biology entirely out of fear it could be misused, the blank slate excuse used for repeat felons and why it removes all personal accountability, why Gad had to go through a brutal visa process to legally enter the United States despite his prominence, why the most common email he receives ends with please don't use my name, the moment Drew Brees apologized for loving his own country, and why Gad says Lionel Messi, the most famous athlete on the planet, refuses to ever take a position on anything. This is one of the most direct, unflinching conversations we have had on this show. Sponsors: Your $17.76 3-week QuickStart is ready for you! Visit ReliefFactor.com or call 800-4-RELIEF. Three college athletes came on this show and I am still thinking about this conversation. Maddie, MK and Lainey never asked for any of this. They went to college to compete, earn scholarships and build their futures. Instead they found themselves watching their sports be taken over by biological males, losing roster spots, losing medals and in some cases watching their coaches stay silent because their jobs depended on it. They took it to court anyway. And now they are waiting for the Supreme Court to rule on whether states can even make sex-based distinctions in athletics. In this episode I also sit down with Kristen Waggoner, CEO and President of the Alliance Defending Freedom, who has been litigating this fight for over a decade. She breaks down the two legal questions before the court, what a win actually means for girls across the country, and why she says lies cannot survive without censorship. We also hear from the girls themselves about the death threats, the teammates who would not stand with them, the coaches who stayed quiet, the male athletes whose own teammates said it was unfair, and why every single one of these women says she would do it all over again. I sat down with Dave Rubin in his studio, and we went everywhere. No topic was off limits, and it may be my favorite conversation we've ever had on camera together. We get into why Dave says the LGBTQ acronym has letters that have absolutely nothing to do with each other and why he thinks the trans movement is actually the most anti-gay movement you could possibly create. The moment he watched the trans flag physically start eating the rainbow flag on a crosswalk in West Hollywood and why he says it is a perfect metaphor for what has happened. Why the activist class could not stop after winning marriage equality and what the machine behind it actually wants. His honest take on the 2028 Republican bench and who steps up if things go wrong at the midterms. Why Tucker Carlson now sounds like a leftist. The Spencer Pratt mayoral race in LA and what Larry Elder told him about why it probably cannot be won. Why he has not watched a single minute of NBA basketball despite it being his favorite sport his entire life. The moment a kid screamed a racial slur at Sage from a truck in the Florida Panhandle and how she chose to handle it. And why he says some of the people smiling at him during the Jubilee surrounded video were the ones he was most afraid of. Subscribe and follow the show. Part two of my conversation with Sean Hannity went places I never expected and it might be my favorite hour I have ever spent on this show. We get into Sean's 15 years of weapons training with sticks, blades and firearms and what he would actually do if someone pulled a gun on him. His honest answer to whether he has ever killed someone. Ainsley calling in live mid-interview and what she said when she found out we had been talking about her for two hours. How he knew Ainsley was the one and the faith conversation that sealed it before they ever moved in together. Why he left Catholicism and where his faith actually lives now. The sign in his Connecticut office that said I love Jesus but I cuss a little. The GD he dropped on live television and why he does not apologize for it. Why he thinks Ainsley's impersonations would get her canceled and why he is the only person qualified to warn her. And the direct question Sage asks at the end about whether he is running for president. Part 1 is already out. Watch both.
