The march reflected a growing belief among many Israelis that lasting security requires more than military victories.In this video, I explain why I believe true victory over Hamas and jihadist terror requires more than eliminating terrorists and destroying tunnels. Military achievements alone cannot prevent future attacks if hostile forces can eventually return and rebuild. History in both Gaza and southern Lebanon has shown what can happen when security vacuums are created.I also share my personal memories from the 2005 disengagement protests, including Kfar Maimon and the marches toward Gaza, and how this new movement is fundamentally different. We in Israel are no longer only remembering destruction. We are living the process of redemption.Just a few years ago, only a small number of Jews were allowed to ascend the Temple Mount at any given time. Jewish prayer and song were strictly forbidden. We were forbidden from drinking from the water fountains on the Temple Mount. Muslim rioters regularly harassed visitors and tried to block any strengthening of the Jewish connection to our holiest site in Jerusalem — Har HaBayit.That reality is slowly but steadily changing. More Jews are now ascending the Temple Mount in accordance with Jewish law. More are praying, singing, and reconnecting with the place where the Divine Presence once dwelled and will dwell again. The greatest shift, however, is not only in the regulations. It is in the consciousness of the Jewish people.An increasing number of Jews now understand that the rebuilding of the Third Temple is not a distant dream or purely religious aspiration. It is our national destiny. The Temple is far more than a house of worship. It is the national home for God’s Presence among the Jewish people, the place from which we are meant to bring knowledge of God, morality, and holiness to all humanity.Just as we trust God’s wisdom in the commandments of Shabbat and kashrut, we can trust His command to build His House in our homeland, in Jerusalem. Redemption is not a single event.
