The Nielson Show - October 6th, 2026 - Hour 1

We are back for a brand new week on a Tuesday edition of The Nielson Show live on Edmonton Sports Talk!   Dustin Nielson is away handling national NHL play-by-play duties, so stepping into the driver's seat is the one and only Dave Jamieson! We'll be seeing plenty of Jamo anchoring the show while Dusty is on the call. The fellas catch up with Jamo—because it's been a minute—before diving headfirst into a massive slate of sports talk.   The first segment we hit was Morning Announcements for Haddies Golf Shop to recap everything that transpired yesterday in the world of sports.   After the break, we got into The Fan Zone for Northern Gauge to discuss who should start in net for the Oilers for the next couple of games. We also played five minutes of Mike Babcock in this segment as well.   We capped off hour one by getting Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces to discuss a potential trade that involves Kirby Dach coming to Edmonton… Could this actually happen? And who's going the other way if this trade is made.
