House leaders sent lawmakers home early, delaying Congressman Thomas Massie’s effort to impeach War Secretary Pete Hegseth until after the midterms. Three people were killed when a television news helicopter crashed in Los Angeles, leaving an NBC4 newsroom to realize on the air that its own colleagues were among the victims.
