
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) increasingly represent a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among people with HIV. People with HIV are at high risk of developing NCDs, often at younger ages and more severely than people without HIV. Esteban Martinez from the Hospital Clinic and University of Barcelona, and Steven Grinspoon from the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, join us to explore the importance of NCDs and how data from the REPRIEVE trial can help us understand and prevent the underlying causes increasing the risk of NCDs in people with HIV.
