1-Minute Somatic Grounding — Day 6: Weight of a Hand on Your Chest

Place one hand flat on your chest right now, and if it feels right, the other on your stomach. Just feel the weight of your own hands. There's something in that simple pressure; not a trick, not a technique, just contact — that tells your body you are here with yourself. Most of us go through mornings touched by everything except our own hand: notifications, obligations, other people's needs. This is different, this is you, choosing to be present with you, before anyone else asks anything of you. Today's practice: take a breath in and let the weight of your hands be felt even deeper. Not the day ahead, not the list; just this, your hand, your chest, rising and falling underneath it, steady, already doing exactly what it needs to do. As you exhale, offer yourself a little gratitude for taking this time to notice.
