Let's flash forward into the future 3 years. You're applying for a job and you're going up against someone with an MBA. That person is well-qualified and is probably the more attractive candidate for the job. Let's say you have an Associates degree, but you happened to learn A.I. along the way. You've implemented it in every single job you've had over the last 3 years. When it comes time to getting an offer letter, if the person with the MBA hasn't mastered A.I., they're not going to land that job over you. That's the good news. Keep in mind, companies like Sony are not going to come here and invest tons of money and ignore cheap labor. Sure, they'll be here for a season, but the United States is not going to pay the high wages commanded by the American workforce, especially when there are ways to scale a company by simply using A.I. There will be no unions to pay, 401K, retirement, etc. It's not a viable proposition. I say that to say this............ A couple of years ago, I had close to 100 employees. Today, I have 30, thanks to A.I. Each one of them knows how to leverage A.I. They are agents of A.I. and this is what future employers will be in search of. I was in a Facebook group with mortgage professionals a few days ago and I noticed one person was asking about getting a printed copy of marketing materials I was sharing. Instead of clowning on the loan officer, the group turned their attention to Real Estate agents citing how important it was to share their marketing materials with real estate agents and hard selling them on selling you as a loan officer. None of the suggestions were the right answer and it boils all down to one thing. That one thing requires you to ask certain questions, like, "What does this person need more than anything in their business?" "How can I best help this person with their marketing efforts?" Simply, it starts with not making it about you. The truth is, it begins with becoming a person of value. So, how do you become a true person of value? I am not a person who likes to do things the easy way. My whole life, I've done nothing but do shit the hard way. And let me tell you.......... The hard way is expensive. It's painful. People steal from you. They run your name down. They try and snuff out your business, your family, and even take your soul. Here's what I know about being a hard head. I'm grateful because of the experiences that gave me the lessons. I learned how to be a better judge of character. I learned how to be a good steward of my resources. I've learned how to be a better father, husband, and businessman. If I were to do everything I've done in my life, even as painful as it was, I would do it all over again, and not change a thing. You can go the easy way, but it's a shortcut and you'll do yourself a disservice and miss out on the wisdom you need to truly elevate you in your life. One of the most destructive things we do is ignore the signs. The signs about the times. Accepting reality that things are going to change. It's no surprise. The pendulum of life swings back and forth, but for some reason, we get caught in continuing to believe the lies. The best thing you can do is to be wlling to surrender to the inevitable...... Change will always be a part of life. Personally and professionally, you will continue to be called to pivot. Make changes. Sacrifices. Sit with failures and gather the courage to come up with a plan. But here's the secret...... Everything you're trying to figure out has already been figured out...... There are shit bags in every nation, race, continent, neighborhood.......... They come in every shape, size, and form. I know a lot of good Asians, Blacks, Mexicans, Africans.......Europeans..... I know the good and bad in every sector represented in the human race. They're everywhere. One thing I can tell you is, you can't group everyone into one category just because one of them has made mistakes or became a bad example for their people. We can't lump people together in anything. Operating with absolutes. It cripples us as a whole. What I can tell you is, we do have a responsibility to call people out of every race, creed, color, etc. As the human race, we have to make clear the directions of what's acceptable and not acceptable in society. So, the next time you hear someone of a certain race, color or creed did something fucked up, just know there's a counter balance in existence. One person does not have the power or authority to represent one whole population or segment of people. Keep it light and do right, no matter the shades of good and bad. I once had an event in my old office. A man that ran a multi-billion dollar company in finance came to talk to some of my guests. He talked about having to take a step back in his company, so he sold some of his cars, watches, and real estate. He did this so he could have the capital necessary to build his company to a multi-billion dollar company. This man needed to take a couple of steps back and advanced the money he was living on into the most capable hands to help him advance his company where he needed to go. The same applies for everything you do in your life. Sometimes you have a take a step back to reasses where you're trying to go and sacrifice today's luxuries or comforts for the benefit of tomorrow. As a result of doing this, he was able to find killers in each area he was needing and was able to sell his company for a billion + valuation. That's how you manage a team and lead from the front, and sometimes it takes you going to the back of the line and feeding those first who are the most hungry and capable to make things happen that you can't. I have had some great teams in the past and had the worst teams in my time as a business owner. Your team will make or break your company. In business you might have an executive assistant, sales person, marketing person, and admin assistant.......all of them are charged with one task........push sales and bring them to the business. Whenever one person drops the ball, they're hurting the team. A bad team is filled with egos, all for one and one for all mentality, and this will absolutely destroy it. I've had team members that have been present to pour into the staff, help and have great attitudes when it came to working towards one common goal. This second team will absoutely skyrocket your company to profitable heights. Find this team and get ready to flourish. They're out there, but you won't attract them until you become a leader they can work for.
