On the morning of September 21, 2015, 26-year-old Asha Kreimer sat down for breakfast at the Rollerville Café near Point Arena, California, with her boyfriend and a friend. She had been awake for five days, was in the grip of a mental health crisis, and had just been released following a psychiatric evaluation. But sometime around 11:00 that morning, she got up to use the restroom and never came back. Her jacket was later found on a trail leading toward the Point Arena Lighthouse.
