Today I am giving you a preview of how to work with the Feng Shui Elements not just in your home but on your person!Fire is one of the 5 elements in Feng Shui and one of the most obvious ways of wearing and representing it is by wearing the color red or red spectrum colors like orange and fuchsia.You can Feng Shui not only your home but your wardrobe to harness elemental energy and archetypes!Red energetically attracts attention and connection. You can benefit from wearing it in circumstances where you want to be noticed and you welcome connection and attention.Red imbues you with Main Character Energy and I refer to it’s archetypal energy the Social Butterfly/Siren.It’s such an activating color that it can also activate aggression and overstimulation. e.g. You might want to wear it on a hot date but not to a contentious legal proceeding.Red is a power color in Feng Shui and is also considered lucky and auspicious in China where brides traditionally wear it on their wedding days.This is the year of the Fire Horse so red is definitely a power color this year!I have historically not worn red and barely ever owned any garments in that color. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing red and struggled to find a flattering shade that worked with my complexion.I used to primarily wear black to the exclusion of every other color. Especially when I was younger. My mom would always mock my sense of style and question why I always dressed as if I was headed to a funeral or in mourning. She had a way with words….She wasn’t wrong because I was a little sad growing up and during my coming of age years. I wasn’t comfortable in my skin and I didn’t really want to be seen.My attitude towards Fire element and the color and energy of Red has recently changed. I just updated my wardrobe with a few key pieces including 2 flirty red dresses and a red power skirt.I was updating my dating capsule with a couple dresses and I wanted a power skirt for my business networking capsule.You don’t have to wear a color from head to toe for it to have an impact but if you are going to do it finding the correct shade for your skin tone is important.As a winter, I look best in reds with a blue, berry, or slightly pink undertone rather than orange, rust, or brown. I think I nailed it!Have you found your true red?
