Alexandra McPhee, with Concerned Women for America, talked about the need to stop DIY abortion. What is it and how is the C.W.A. working to raise awareness about it. Mindi Sales and Delta Stafford joined me for my final broadcast of the Daily Show. We talked about a lot of memories and I received a lot of listener phone calls.
Dave Maupin gave us his final look at the "Among the Dogwoods" blog. We talked about the cemetery that is getting washed away and other county business. Danny Ellison, the Educated Redneck, ranted and raved for the final time on the Daily Show. He, again, told people not to give up their freedoms for what the federal government is trying to get people to buy into.
Chris Galloway, Pappo from Pappo's Pizza, stopped by to talk about the restaurant business and how he treats his employees. He has used what he learned, growing up, to teach his employees about what it means to be responsible and respectful and to treat the customer with that respect. Professor Jim Pasley did his final history lesson, on the Daily Show, about the media. He explained that critical thinking should be the yardstick we use when listening to what the media tells us.
I had the chance to speak with Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Richelle Grosvenor. She discussed her transition into her new positions. She also talked about what her office is doing to handle the current case load and what they are looking at from the past.
Bill LaCasse, with SRG Financial Advisors, talked about the debt ceiling and how it will affect the economy, the market and the future of this country. Marlena Hatmaker, with Save the Historic Brumley Swinging Bridge group, called in to give us a progress report on what the organization is doing to move the project forward and how you can get involved.
Ike Skelton joined me to discuss what's going on with Camden County government. We discussed the contract with the county and Ozarks Ampitheater. It pertains to off-duty deputies working at that facility. We also touched on the agreement with the county and Shady Gators, among many other topics. Doug Bishop, formerly of Adventures with Purpose, joined me and Mindi Sales. Doug talked about his new venture called United Search Corps. They will continue the mission he orginally started, but with new staff and a new attitude. You might remember that Adventures with Purpose came to the lake to assist in the search for Donnie Erwin.
Jennie Wall stopped by with the latest edition of the WATCHDAWG. We talked about state and county government. Danny Ellison, the Educated Redneck, checked in to talk about how some people are willing to give up their rights in order to comply with government.
Senator Bill Eigel called in to review the Missouri Legislative session for 2023. Professor Jim Pasley talked about immigration and the history of two government programs that brought Mexican laborers into the United States.
