After a brief hiatus we are back for Season #2 of The Common Denominator. Professor Richard Landes returns to expand on the parallels between Nazi ideology and the new religion of “Palestinianism” as well as the pathologies we witness in the pervasive Jewish tendency to engage in endless self criticism, such as with the so called “self hating” Jew.Find more from Professor Richard Landes: https://theaugeanstables.com/Author of “Can The Whole World Be Wrong?” Get full access to Ilana Rachel Daniel at ilanaracheldaniel120.substack.com/subscribe
Ilana Rachel Daniel gives testimony of living in Israel, the only Democracy in the region, under the constant - and now immediate - threat of attack by the Islamic Regime of Iran and its multiple proxies. “We know, that October 7th was the gunshot start of world war. It was the call for Islamists across the globe, and the Axis that support them, to rise up and wreak havoc in pursuit of terrible rule.” Get full access to Ilana Rachel Daniel at ilanaracheldaniel120.substack.com/subscribe
With the Middle East at this moment teetering on the brink of a regional war, Ilana Rachel Daniel sat down for an in-depth conversation with the brilliant Dalia Ziada to discuss how the Arab world relates to Israel and our prospects for peace. Dalia, currently living in exile after fleeing Egypt, was accused of treason for acknowledging what truly occurred on October 7th. She has a long history of human rights activism and is an award-winning Egyptian writer and Senior Fellow for Research and Diplomacy at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs (JCFA). Her latest bestselling book is, “"The Curious Case of the Three-Legged Wolf - Egypt: Military, Islamism, and Liberal Democracy”. In a rare moment, world events this week have exceeded even Israel in its high intensity and rapid fire pace. Former President Trump survived an assassination attempt. Days later, sitting president Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race that will take place this November. Kamala Harris is expected to take his place as the Democrat’s nominee and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has flown to DC and will speak there in the Congress today. Kamala Harris has declined to attend Netanyahu’s speech but will meet with him privately, before he heads to Florida for a meeting with Trump.Speaking with us today is David Mencer. David ran the Labour Party Friends of Israel during the Tony Blair premiership and brought groups of government officials to Israel to see and experience up close the realities of our small country. David is a Spokesman for the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel and a communications professional with 30 years experience. For many Israelis, military service is seen as a national duty and essential for the survival and well-being of our nation. For the Ultra-Orthodox or Haredi community, however, military service is incompatible with their way of life and perceived as a threat to their religious existence. Many within this community believe that their study of the Torah is what truly protects Israel and the IDF from our enemies. The differing opinions have long been a divide in Israeli society, and now, nine months into an existential war with no end in sight, this issue has finally come to a head. How can we hope to reconcile these opposing views and unite the country? We must first gain understanding of the complexities of each position. Join Ilana Rachel Daniel as we review the history of Haredi exemptions and how they came into use and the perspectives of both the religious and secular service to Israel today.‘Without the structure of our Torah we are not Jews, without our land we are not sovereign and subject to every horror that can and can't be named -but without unity we are not a nation.” Get full access to Ilana Rachel Daniel at ilanaracheldaniel120.substack.com/subscribe
The drastic results of the French elections this week resulted in calls from Paris’s Chief Rabbi to the Jewish community to leave France and seek it’s future in Israel. The Far Left has joined its cause with those of France’s Islamists and together they offer a bleak future for the Jews in France and beyond.Ilana Rachel Daniel sat with Rabbi Dr Dov Maimon to learn more about the environment that led to the divides that have pit the population firmly between the far left and the far right and what it means not only for France’s future, but for Europe, the US, and the West as a whole.https://jppi.org.il/en/Senior Fellow at JPPI, Rabbi Dr Dov Maimon leads the "Grand Strategy toward Islam" project, the "Israel-Diaspora New Paradigm" project and the Institute's activities in Europe. The terrorists of the world remain emboldened, undeterred and bang drums of war without respite. These manufacturers of chaos are rooted in the Islamic Republic of Iran with fighters at the ready for combat across the Middle East and well beyond. Hezbollah, the crown jewel in the IRI defense sits at Israel’s northern border and does not cease to reign terror on both Israeli and Lebanese civilians, launching missiles deeper into sovereign Israel by the day.We know that at least 80% of 90 million Iranians despise the conquering Islamic Regime that stamps out their own culture, but who are the Lebanese and does Hezbollah hold a parasitic relationship with them that is comparable to Iran?Ilana Rachel Daniel sat with Hussain Abdul Hussain for his expertise on the subject.Ilana Rachel Daniel is a reader-supported publication. Today we will discuss in brief the only thing on our minds here in Israel and that, regrettably, is Hezbollah and nothing but. The fear of confrontation with Hezbollah is founded. War between us holds the potential to devastate both tiny Israel as well as Lebanon who, not unlike Iran, suffocates under its parasitic, conquering leadership. There is no negotiating peace with an entity that was created with the mission of war. There is only a matter of when the confrontation will take place, on whose terms, and with what strength they have been able to amass.Hezbollah is the most heavily armed non-state actor in the world and the citizens of Israel face a threat unlike any we have before.Join Ilana Rachel Daniel and get to know who is Hezbollah.
