Carlos recalls initially studying computer engineering before realizing that performing was what he had always wanted to do, eventually switching to theater arts at Fresno State and beginning stand-up in college. He discusses the particular challenges of developing a comedic voice in a second language, his training in theater and improv, and his early experience working as a host and MTV personality.
