Episode 1: What is a Verbal Cue... from the dog's perspective?

In Episode 1, we'll explore the question: What are verbal obedience cues, and more importantly, what do these sounds mean to a dog?  Most people would consider an obedience cue or command to be either a request or a demand for the performance of a specific behavior.  But is this really the case, from the dog's perspective?  And if not, what do verbal obedience cues actually signify to the dog?
