Chris Teel was an early childhood educator and a non-profit philanthropist. Running several initiatives, one being Movies In The Park. As a child growing up, Teel experienced what he calls the good kid, mad city syndrome many black kids live in urban cities. Having 2 uncles suffering from drug addiction in his home, it was no doubt very challenging at times. However, Teel had stronger influences in his life such as his grandfather who was the principal of his elementary school. Going to school everyday with his grandfather everyday kept close to his family and out of trouble, this, validating the good kid, mad city term. Teel managed to come out on top with a beautiful family, educating many black girls and boys, and engaging in numerous political and community agendas that helped all minorities reach their true potential.
