This week, on a very special “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”...”Nick Comstock Can’t Win”. Yes, despite his best efforts to the contrary, the Mighty NC can’t find those magic words to turn “No, thank you” into “Yes, please”. But boy how he tries…and tries…and tries. How else is his young protege, Frank Lemmer, supposed to learn how to pitch woo?
On this bonus episode we had the pleasure of chatting with Writer/Director/Producer Alan Cross!
It’s the second installment of the Parker loves Annie melodrama. The two have been dating for a while now and things seem to be going well. Too well in fact and Parker is waiting for the other shoe to drop. When it doesn’t, he knocks the damn thing down himself because he’s a dumb-ass teenager. Meanwhile Miss Musso, driven by a desire to impress her big-handed firmly-incomed doctor-boyfriend, employs the use of Mikey and Jerry to overhaul her FlamingoVision image.
The time has come to go back to school to learn the three R’s- no, not Reading, Writing, and ‘Rithmatic! The important three R’s - Ronny Ray Rasmussen. The Santo Domingo legend returns to accept the Alumnus of the Year Award. But before he does that, he’s got a little unfinished business to settle.
When Judy Lewis decides to go back to school to further her education and better herself, Marty Lewis acts like a little whiny selfish bitch and — Ok not exactly, but Judy’s new pursuit does cause friction between her and her husband and Parker and Shelly are caught in the middle… Oh, and Jerry too, because he’s staying over while his parents are out of town and he’s afraid to be alone. Yeah, lotta baggage in this episode.
Mr. Rips is the best. He’s patient. He’s protective. He’s poetic. All the kids love him. So when Parker plays one too many pranks on him and he decides to quit the profession, Park has a real dilemma on his hands. Just kidding, this episode is nothing like "Teacher, Teacher".
Dr Pankow returns, but he is no longer merely a principal… he is now the decency advisor for the Santo Domingo Correctness Committee and when he sets his sights on a particular new music record, Mary Lewis is caught in the crossfire. Marty, feeling his hippy oats, decides to fight back against the censorship and Parker finds himself conflicted. Has his dad lost his marbles? Or is there something that can be learned from the old man?
Who was the worst teacher you remember from high school? The one who seemed more interested in proving they were always right, that they were always in control. You’ve got one in mind right now. For Parker Lewis, that’s Mr. Lionel Tower…this week, at least.
