This week we are getting into Dominique Morgan's recent arrest, and the Okra Project (Black trans-led nonprofit that raised $4 million in the wake of 2020). There's fabricated prisoners, a bail fund that never bailed anyone out, a $19,000 closet renovation, shipping containers in New Mexico, and a founder who walked away with a paid-off apartment... but the narrative solely wants to bury Dominique. I pulled the court records, the indictment, the guilty plea, and I am going to walk you through the full timeline.With stuff like this we need to be asking harder questions, and being honest about about what 2020's funding surge actually did to organizations/people that lack the structure and psychology to manage that kind of cash windfall (lottery winner vibes tbh).
