Episode Description from the Publisher

While summer is synonymous with blockbuster movies, a trip to the theater isn't limited to sitting in a multiplex. For those seeking something different, drive-in theaters — though not as prevalent as they once were — are still thriving in parts of the country and offer a unique movie-watching experience. In this episode, co-hosts Terry Lipshetz and Bruce Miller recall their experiences at drive-in theaters. Terry reminisces about visiting a New Jersey drive-in during its final season before it became a multiplex, and expresses excitement for the return of the Highway 18 Outdoor Theatre near his home in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Bruce reflects on attending drive-ins as a teenager. About the show Streamed & Screened is a podcast about movies and TV hosted by Bruce Miller, a longtime entertainment reporter who is the retired editor of the Sioux City Journal in Iowa and Terry Lipshetz, managing editor of the National Newsroom for Lee Enterprises based in Madison, Wisconsin.
