Calling all Andrew McMahon fans: This show intends to pay tribute to all of the music Andrew has helped create in a song-by-song format. With a 20+ year-long music career spread among 3 different musical projects, Andrew is not only a musician, he is also a cancer survivor, philanthropist, and family man.Beginning with Something Corporate, formed with some friends from high school, Andrew established himself as a pop punk icon in the early 2000s. The band set themselves apart from the rest of the scene incorporating a piano into the popular pop/punk sound. Following three records and countless tours, Andrew went on to form a new project called Jack's Mannequin. This new direction allowed him to lean more into the piano pop/rock side of his music. While many of his original fans came along for the ride, he also gained an entirely new fanbase with his next three records and extensive world touring. This project helped boost his resume from a pop/punk frontman to a serious songwriter.

Kyle of Patterns in Traffic and Harsh Lights is back to discuss a UDF-era track that felt like a big one at the time, but in a sense, seems quickly to have been lost in the shuffle. Join us as we discuss the merits of this track and decide if this should be a regular staple, or if it's already had it's time in the sun. **Kyle also brought his brand new and unreleased Patterns in Traffic track to the pod so we could get a taste of what he's been working on. My wife Marci returns to the show for her first song episode in a few years. This time, I picked the song, so I wasn't quite sure where she stood on this one. Not an oft-discussed track in the fanbase, but its serious tones gave us a lot to discuss. Life story or pure fiction? How do you relate to the lyrics in this one?
