tech support and fbi scams

This week Scam Squad looks at a couple of types of bank scams. Very sophisticated tech support scams on local customers bank accounts have recently been happening . Local bank customers recently had a received phone call scams in the form of a fake tech support scam. Some customers are receiving the scam in the form of a popup. Scammers tell the customers that all their bank funds are in jeopardy and they had to be transferred to a special account for protection, which of course are phony accounts of the scammers. A second scam hitting banks recently is the FBI Imposter Scam. The bank customers receive calls from scammers saying that are the FBI and are monitoring ATM use at local branches and that one of the tellers inside the bank is potentially committing fraudulent activity and is being investigated.
