Another surprise episode. Matt and I have been friends and colleagues for years and been talking about how we need to have a conversation about our mutual enjoyment of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Series, and here it is!Follow Matt online at Matt Threadwell Comedian.Follow me online!Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Tiktok | LinkTreeTickets for my 2026 tour Absolute Battler are now online at candocomedy.com/battler
This week I got the privelige to interview two more Unified Championship Wrestling competitors in the UCW Heavyweight Champion Big Gun and the UCW Light Heavywight Champion Matt Attack who will be clashing on Feb 14 at the 2026 Southern Stampede in singles competition.I've been watching UCW wrestling for about 3 years now and therefore seeing Big Gun for 3 years, it was great to be able to sit down with him and have a chat. I wasn't sure how talkative he might be as we don't often see him talk on the mic a lot at shows and I was pleasantly surprised at how the interview went. I was slightly nervous sitting next to him as you really don't get a sense for how big he is until you see him in person. Felt like I was in the room with a tiger and one wrong move might set him off on me. Thankfully he seemed to be in a good mood and we made it through the interview without incident. Then I spoke to Matt Attack, a relative newcomer to Unified, most recently winning his first singles championship at Wrestlemas. I've been following Matt Attack for the year he's been an active wrestler and enjoy seeing his stuff. Matt was a lot more affable of a guy although I got the sense that if I pushed him too far, he wouldn't have a lot of patience for my antics. A couple of times in this interview he gently but assertively prompted me to move on from a topic. Matt's a promising young talent and I think the sky's the limit for what he can achieve in NZ Wrestling. I look forward to seeing where he is a year from now.I'm looking forward to seeing their battle at the Stampede, and if all goes to plan myself and my comedy pal GC will be sitting ringside doing commentary, that's going to be a hoot and a half!Unified Online:https://www.instagram.com/unifiednz/https://www.youtube.com/@UnifiedChampionshipWrestlinghttps://www.facebook.com/unifiednzBig Gun:https://www.instagram.com/_big_gun/https://www.facebook.com/BigGunJesseHarrisMatt Attack:https://www.instagram.com/03mattattack/https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61573096198607Follow me online!Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Tiktok | LinkTreeTickets for my 2026 tour Absolute Battler are now online at candocomedy.com/battler

I've been releasing a newsletter every month in 2025, trying to fill it with interesting content instead of just plugging my gigs, had about 100ish readers but it never really grew at all so I think it's back to the drawing board. I recorded a voiceover for each one and these voiceovers were all done in one take so there's a few mistakes as well as extra context or other little tidbits that I added in as I was recording them. If you'd like to listen to them all, well here's your chance. You can read them all at taylorruddle.substack.com too. This might be the last podcast for the year, if so then Merry Christmas!Follow me online!Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Tiktok | LinkTreeTickets for my 2026 tour Absolute Battler are now online at candocomedy.com/battler
Another cheeky little bonus episode for the faithful Ruddlemaniacs still listening along to these secret episodes. This time I brought Grant Cattermole, a local comic who has become a very close friend of mine in the comedy scene and we did a post mortem about the JokeTober project we did in 2025 - a new joke posted to our socials every day from a list of prompts. We went through all the jokes we posted, which prompts gave us hell, what we thought of the project as a whole and whether we'll do it again. Hope you enjoy! Our prompts for 2025: 1. Toothbrush 2. A cheeky little bonus episode for you. The podcast is still on hiatus in the sense that I'm not doing weekly episodes, but when the inspiration strikes or the right person comes along I'll be dropping episodes if I believe they've got something worth saying in them.In this episode Geoff and I talk about the tragic 2018 film A Star Is Born in our usual The Cost Of Greatness style. I never expected to enjoy this movie but it absolutely ripped my heart out. Alongside La La Land which we also talk about in this episode, as well as a general life update about what's been going on in my world.Follow Geoff online via www.gwilsonswork.com or thenitclicked.substack.com.I haven't got much new to plug, you (probably) know where to find me online.Follow me online!Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Tiktok | LinkTreeTickets for my 2026 tour Absolute Battler are now online at candocomedy.com/battler
Hey Ruddlemaniacs, I'm going to be putting the podcast on ice for a currently undetermined length of time. The long and short of it is that I've been burning it at both ends for the past couple of months and the weekly nature of the podcast was beginning to grind me down. I've been sick as a dog for going on four weeks now and frankly I'm just knackered. Thankfully the last episode with Jeremy Redmore was a banger so I feel I can go out on a high note while I rest up.This audio clip is essentially me just rambling about why the process of recording the podcast has been wearing me out lately, and to be honest I felt like I've run out of things to say for the past few episodes, so it feels like a good time to take a break.Dan the owner of Tape Deck Media was very understanding and said to take as long as I need, so it feels great not to have the pressure of a weekly release to meet for a bit.Take care, I look forward to talking to you again sometime soon!Follow me online!Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Tiktok | LinkTreeTickets for my 2026 tour Absolute Battler are now online at candocomedy.com/battler
This is a HUGE get for the podcast, quite possibly the biggest guest I've had so far! Jeremy's a musician currently living in Holland but from NZ originally. Jeremy was in a band in 2009 called Midnight Youth who released some absolute bangers that I remember hearing all the time in high school. I heard one of them on the playlist at Little Andromeda several weeks back and ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole and actually getting in touch with Jeremy who's been an absolute gentleman and a scholar and agreed to come on the podcast for a chat.Jeremy's up to a whole pile of cool stuff at the moment, predominantly music and books for children all focused around singing, so visit www.jeremyredmore.com to learn more!--Increasingly uneasy about the American oligarchy's rapidly tightening grip on social media?
