Cedar Point Is Incredible… So Why Is It So Frustrating?
Cedar Point is still one of our favorite amusement parks anywhere — and its coaster lineup is almost impossible to beat. But after our latest trip to HalloWeekends, we walked away with the same question we’ve had a lot lately: why can a park this incredible also be so frustrating? In this episode, we break down the highs and lows of our most recent Cedar Point trip — from the elite coaster lineup and improved operations to ride closures, inconsistent communication, declining food quality, and some of the guest-experience issues that still need work.We also talk about what makes Cedar Point so special in the first place: the location, the resort atmosphere, camping at Lighthouse Point, and why — despite the frustrations — we always leave wanting to come back. What do you think Cedar Point gets right in 2026 — and what still needs to improve for 2027?#CedarPoint #SixFlags #rollercoaster #coasters #ThemeparksALL OF OUR RECOMMENDED GEAR:-Keep your phone CHARGED all day at the park (you'll NEED this for the digital Fast Lane) -- Anker Portable Charger: https://amzn.to/4bQKem9-Our GO-TO camera at parks that takes photo and video — Canon C50: https://amzn.to/4729svd-The cameras we use to film in-studio — Canon C70: https://amzn.to/4dsPYnn-The mics we use in-studio — Shure SM7db: https://amzn.to/470Bszq-Our on the road mics at parks — DJI Mics: https://amzn.to/4uPb7P4-The lens we use to get CLOSE UP of coasters — Canon RF 70-200: https://amzn.to/4uPb7P4-The BEST all-around lens to use at parks — Canon RF 24-70: https://amzn.to/3Pdkess-The ND Filter I use to make sure I get the crispy coaster shots — Peter McKinnon VND 2-5: https://amzn.to/4bMZtwl-Backpack that makes visiting parks easier — Nomatic McKinnon Camera Pack: https://amzn.to/3Pgr4NN-The Drone we use (not at parks lol) — Mavic Air 2: https://amzn.to/40CylKhAs an Amazon Associate, we do earn from qualifying purchases in the links above at no extra cost to you. Processing the Goliath Tragedy
This week has been a difficult one for the roller coaster community. Following the tragic incident on Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia, we wanted to sit down and process what happened, talk through our own reactions, and discuss the questions this situation has raised around coaster safety and the industry as a whole. We also talk about our own experience riding Goliath earlier this summer, the temporary closures of similar B&M coasters across Six Flags parks, and why we believe it’s important to wait for official findings before drawing conclusions about exactly what caused the incident. Goliath ReactionOur thoughts remain with everyone affected by this tragedy. If you’d like to join the conversation, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.#SixFlags #Goliath #RollerCoasterRants #RollerCoaster #ThemeParks
