Laughter is good for the soul, good for pleasure, good for the world! Humour makes everything better. Even "making light of the darkness" is wise, at least once the solemn side has been done appropriately already. It's the sign of a higher mind, able to play with words and with worlds. But there's more to humour than we might think – it's a vital element in perceiving reality clearly, and of living the life of wisdom, and at the end of the day it may well turn out that humour is in God's top 10 principles.
