Laurie Morse is a San Diego–based artist, author, and Chinese Medicine practitioner whose work uniquely bridges art, healing, and contemplative practice. Over her 35-year career in Chinese Medicine and more than two decades as a professional artist, she has developed a distinctive approach to creativity that is rooted in the interconnectedness of body, mind, spirit, and environment. She is also the author of three books on healing and transformation. Laurie’s artwork expresses what she calls visual alchemy—using nature-based abstract realism, intuitive mark-making, botanical symbolism, color, and layered texture to bring intention, emotion, and energy into visible form. Her paintings invite stillness, reflection, and an embodied sense of wholeness while subtly shifting the energetic atmosphere of the spaces they inhabit.
