The Cost of Sin

Sin is so costly. It separates us from God. Yet God is mighty to save. Our sins have created a barrier between us and Him, and "the wages of sin is death" the just penalty for our rebellion against our holy God. Sin brings painful consequences upon us and society, but its greatest cost was borne by Christ. On the cross, He endured the punishment that our sins deserved, laying down His life for all His people. As Isaiah declares, "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed".
