The themes covered in this seminar were originally told in Maajid Nawaz’s autobiography Radical, published by Penguin Random House. In this seminar, Maajid recounted his teenage years facing violent racism growing up in the early 90s at his place of birth in England’s Essex. It spans his time spent at the leadership of the UK branch of then legal - but since proscribed - political Islamist organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir. His journey to Pakistan, Denmark and Egypt recruiting students to this political Islamist organisation, his eventual incarceration in Egypt as an Amnesty International adopted Prisoner of Conscience and his journey towards renouncing his group and founding the world’s first counter-extremism organisation, Quilliam in London. Maajid then detailed how Quilliam went on to brief governments and other agencies around the world on how to best address extremism and terrorism during the War on Terror years. In this podcast, Maajid also speaks of his media work after Quilliam and the story behind his cancellation for opposing every single Covid mandate on his popular weekend talk show for Global’s LBC. Who is Professor Edgar Jones?Maajid’s host for this seminar was Professor Edgar Jones. Professor Jones is an authority on the psychological effects of modern war and conflict. He has studied both conventional armed forces and terrorism, exploring how individuals cope during periods of intense stress and the impact of traumatic experiences on their wellbeing. More recently he has researched moral injury, an enduring belief of being wronged or having been compelled to act in ways that feel wrong, in servicemen and women. Edgar Jones has also published on risk factors for radicalisation and support of political violence. He has written extensively on shell shock, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic multi-symptom illness suffered as a result of military service. The author of a number of reports for government and military or mental health charities, his work seeks to shape policy and practice.Edgar Jones originally studied history, researching a doctorate at Nuffield College, Oxford. He subsequently joined the department of psychiatry at Guy's Hospital where he completed a doctorate in clinical psychopathology and trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. Having previously taught at University College London and been a senior research fellow at the LSE, Edgar Jones joined the Institute of Psychiatry in January 1998. He was awarded the Gideon de Laune Gold Medal by the Faculty of the History and Philosophy of Medicin

President Clinton was meant to be there but he became otherwise predisposed with having to prepare for being deposed by Congress over the Epstein saga. As it turns out, the Epstein saga formed the basis for the first of our two presentations at the World Forum.Attendees at this World Forum included Hillary Clinton, former President of Tunisia Moncef Marzouki, former Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert, WHO head Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, former European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, former Minister of Foreign Affairs & Minister of National Defence of Greece, Dimitris Avramopolous and many others. The event was hosted by Bob Geldof and BBC News chief presenter Kasia Madera. Many readers were as surprised as we were to receive an invitation to address this illustrious crowd of globalist leaders. The wider context in which the invite came though, perhaps sheds some light on the inner suppositions of the Clinton team. It appears that a growing recognition they are losing the debate on all things globalism has spurred them to reach out to a more diverse range of speakers, such as this author.Click to play:Hillary Clinton: “I think we need to call it for what it is. There is a legitimate reason to have a debate about things like migration. It went too far. It’s been disruptive and destabilizing, and it needs to be fixed in a humane way, with secure borders that don’t torture and kill people.”Even President Obama has started to openly accept some short comings of the neo-liberal approach. Click to play:President Obama: “big turn off. I think there was a certain way of talking about issues for Democrats where we sounded like scolds. And, I’ve said this before, there was a virtue signalling that made it seem as if ordinary folks, if they did not say things in exactly the right way or meet this litmus test, that they were being chastised, pushed away. And the truth is most of us, all of us, are complicated. And we have blind spots. And sometimes we say dumb stuff. And if you want to create an environment that is welcoming and makes people feel, ‘okay, there’s room for me here’, then the message and the story we tell has to be, ‘all right, none of us are perfect, all of us count. We all have good in us that we can tap into. We can all learn from each other’.”Given this context, our working assumption was that our hosts - in this case the US State Department and EU blob - knowingly invited participants who would openly speak their mind in order to spur some of the sort of debate that Secretary Clinton and President Obama are now clearly seeking above. Nevertheless, we attended slightly confused but with the aim of presenting some tough truths to a neo-liberal establishment audience, on the given panel topic: How to Stop the Far Right & Extremism. Our full nine minute speech is available for free at the top of this Radical Dispatch in podcast form. We chose the moment to address the elephant in the room: the Epstein Files, and how they relate to far right extremism. Our pa

Radical PodcastAt the top of this Newszine, Resistance Radio presents a Radical Podcast featuring British MP Andrew Bridgen’s full 30 minute debate on excess deaths in UK Parliament. A free transcript of the full speech has also been provided with this Radical Dispatch. This podcast is made free for all members of Radical Media. The rest of this Newszine is free. Read On.Solitary MP Andrew Bridgen Demands Answers From Empty Parliament Over UK Excess Death Rate PODCAST: 30 Minute Free Audio of Andrew Bridgen's Parliamentary Debate on UK Excess Deaths1) More People Are Dying Now Than During CovidOn Friday 20th October 2023 British MP Andrew Bridgen (Reclaim Party) demanded answers from Parliament over what is behind the alarming rate of excess death in the UK, which is higher now than it was during Covid. This excess death rate is not denied by government and was openly acknowledged by the minister that responded to Mr Bridgen in Parliament. Yet the govornment continues to censor any information related to its possible causes. Andrew Bridgen MP said:“We've experienced more excess deaths since July 2021 than in the whole of 2020. Unlike the pandemic, however, these deaths are not disproportionately of the old. In other words, the excessive deaths are striking down people in the prime of life. But no-one seems to care…it appears that no-one cares that no-one cares”. 2) The House Did Not CareShamefully, British Parliamentarians were notable only due to their absence. Mr Bridgen was seen cutting a solitary figure addressing an empty House. Comparisons to other occasions that make MPs rush to the House were inevitable. 3) The Debate is SuppressedThe difficulty in being able to secure this debate in the first instance was also acknowledged by Mr Bridgen.“It's taken a lot of effort and more than 20 rejections to be allowed to raise this topic but at last we're here to discuss the number of people dying. Nothing could be more serious. Numerous countries are currently gripped in a period of unexpected mortality, and no one wants to talk about it. ..what we're seeing here is a pattern, repeated across countries, and the rise has not let up”.When the debate was finally allowed to happen, it was heavily “fact”-checked by the BBC, which appeared bent on displaying contradictory counter-messages across their screen even as Mr Bridgen spoke. 4) The Public Cheered One Solitary MP From the Viewing Gallery But despite these various difficulties and an empty chamber bereft of MPs, the public viewing gallery was full and members of the public were heard loudly cheering Mr Bridgen, both upon commencing his speech and when concluding. Mr Bridgen said:“…The majority, 58% of these deaths, were not attributed to Covid. We turned society upside down before vaccination for fear of excess deaths from Covid. Today we have substantially more excess deaths, and in younger people, and there's complete and eerie silence..the evidence is unequivocal.”One would be forgiven therefore for thinking that British MPs would be incredibly concerned about what is killing their constituents at a higher rate than when we locked the entire planet down. Mr Bridgen said: “These excess deaths are not due to an ageing population because there are fewer deaths in the diseases of old age. These deaths are not an effect of Covid because they've happened in places where Covid have not reached. And they're not due to low statin prescriptions or under-treated hy
