Hello, beautiful! Can you believe we're almost halfway through 2026? If you're looking at your vision board, your Bible reading plan, or your list of goals and feeling just a little bit tired — not failing, just tired — this episode is for you. For the past 5.5 months, we've done deep work together. We walked through Lent. We peeled back layers. We leaned into hard questions. And growth has been beautiful. But growth is also heavy. So today, we're hitting pause. I stumbled onto the story behind an old Edie Brickell song this week — "What I Am" — and one line completely captured my heart: "Religion is the smile on a dog." She wrote it during college, frustrated by classmates who were so busy over-intellectualizing faith that they missed the actual experience of it. And it made me wonder: How often do we do the same thing? How often do we turn grace into a checklist? How often do we drown ourselves in the deep end when God is simply asking us to rest in the shallows and enjoy Him? Your faith is not a performance review. God doesn't love the optimized version of you any more than He loves you right now — in your mess, your fatigue, and your unfinished to-do lists. So today, I'm not giving you homework. I'm just asking you to take a breath. To look around at your life and see what's already here. To give yourself permission to just be. Consider this your permission slip. You’ll Learn: 👣 Why rest is a spiritual practice, not a weakness 👣 Why Jesus modeled simplicity over striving 👣 How to give yourself permission to just be ✨ Plus, you’ll hear a gentle prayer for the woman who's been trying so hard and just needs to breathe. 📖 Grab your tea and your Live Your Life journal, available at: https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z— and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? Hello, beautiful! Today is a special day for most — but not for all. And weeks ago, He tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to make space in today's episode for the woman whose Mother's Day isn't joyful, whatever the reason. If your relationship with your mom, mother-in-law, or stepmom is complicated… if motherhood wasn't in the cards for you… if you are grieving a mother, longing to be one, or just finding today heavier than the world seems to think it should be — please don't skip this one. He gave me a surprise for you. Together we'll take a few sacred breaths, sit with a prayer for the brokenhearted, and let the words of Martina McBride's "In My Daughter's Eyes" wash over us — woven through with God's own Word from Philippians, Isaiah, Psalms, and Jeremiah. This isn't a typical Mother's Day episode. It's a soft place to land. You'll Learn: 👣 Why making space for hard feelings on a "happy" day is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself 👣 What Helen Reddy's daughter inspired in "I Am Woman." 👣 The reminder that you are strong, you are seen, you are guided, and you are held ✨ Plus, a tender prayer for the brokenhearted, a song that may break you open in the best way, and the permission to lay your head in His lap today. 📖 Grab your tea and your Dream Your Dreams workbook, available at: https://etsy.me/3TcASYK — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know a beautiful soul whose Mother's Day is heavy this year? Share this episode with her — gently. It might be the soft place to land that she didn't know she needed. 🌿 Please Stay in Touch: 🦋 If this episode resonated with you, support the podcast and share a tea! https://buymeacoffee.com/riselovelive 🦋 Follow along on Instagram @riselovelive 🦋 Subscribe & leave a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review! Hello, beautiful! How are you doing after last week’s episode? After we sat in the ashes with Job, gave ourselves permission to ask, "Why me, God?", and learned that the Shepherd walks with us through the valley — not around it. Well, this week, we're building on that. Because the next question is just as important as the first one. Last week we asked, "Why me, God?" This week, we ask, "Who am I becoming because of this?" Today we're talking about the lies that grow in hard seasons — the negative beliefs that whisper in our ears when we’re too tired to fight back. We'll name two of the loudest ones, hear what scripture says back to them, and learn what it means to "stay in your lane" when life gets heavy. Inspired by Romans 8 and 2 Corinthians 12, we'll explore why God's love isn't earned, why your brokenness isn't a disqualifier, and how the inner work of healing negative beliefs is some of the most sacred work we do. You'll Learn: 👣 What it really means to "stay in your lane" when something hard is happening to you 👣 The two loudest lies that whisper in women's hearts during hard seasons — and the scripture that confronts each one 👣 Why your past explains you, but does not excuse you (and how emotional intelligence meets faith) 👣 One tender invitation for healing a negative belief this week 📖 Grab your tea and your affirmation journal, available at: https://riselovelive.com/Affirmation%20Guide — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know a beautiful soul who's been hearing the lies a little too loudly? Share this episode with her — it might be the gentle reminder she's been waiting for that God's love is still whispering underneath it all. Has anyone ever said to you, "It's okay, everything happens for a reason"? Oh, friend. That phrase isn't in the Bible. It never was. And if your heart has been quietly carrying the question, "Why me, God?" — This episode is for you. Today we're opening the book of Job — a man who lost almost everything in a single breath, sat in ashes, and asked the very question you may have whispered at 3 a.m. We'll talk about what Job's friends got wrong (and what God Himself had to say about it), why asking "why me?" is not a lack of faith, and what the rod and the staff of Psalm 23 actually mean for you in the valley. You'll Learn: 👣 Why "everything happens for a reason" isn't biblical — and what God Himself said to the friends who said it 👣 How to sit with someone in their ashes (and how to offer that same grace to yourself) 👣 What the rod and the staff of Psalm 23 actually are — and how they're working for you right now 👣 Three invitations for walking through the valley when you wish you could skip to the end ✨ Plus, a tender prayer, a Lauren Daigle lyric that may become your anthem this week, and the permission you've been waiting for to stop explaining your ashes. 📖 Grab your tea and your Life Design Workbook, available at: https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know someone sitting in the ashes today? Share this episode with a friend — it might be the gentle reminder she's been waiting for that she is not walking alone. Last week, we stood with Thomas in that locked room and practiced loosening our grip. But believing is one thing — stepping out is another And the minute we start to move, a sneaky new friend shows up: resistance. Dressed as worry. As what-ifs. As "maybe not today." In this Part II Sunday episode, we're digging into why we resist change, where fear really comes from, and how Jesus gave us the most loving, gentle pep talk for exactly this moment in Matthew 6:25-34. Because worrying about tomorrow? It doesn't add a single hour to your life. Your only job is today. You'll Learn: 👣 How to reframe change from something happening TO you into something happening FOR you 👣 That breaking change down to one step, one day at a time, is straight from scripture 👣 The power of celebrating small wins is evidence that God is already walking with you ✨ Plus, a tender prayer, a powerful reminder from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and three gentle practices you can start this week. 📖 Grab your tea and your Live Your Life journal, available at: https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know someone who's been sitting in the locked room a little too long? Hello, beautiful! It's been exactly one week since the empty tomb—and one of Jesus's closest friends still doesn’t quite believe. If you've ever caught yourself thinking too rigidly, demanding answers on your schedule, or quietly insisting that God appear exactly as you've imagined—this episode is for you. I'm walking you back into that locked room with the disciples, and inviting you to see yourself in Thomas's story. Because rigid thinking doesn't just live in our faith life—it lives in our marriages, our careers, our friendships, and especially in the way we talk to ourselves. And sometimes, my sweet, it even wears a convincing costume and calls itself faithfulness. Inspired by John 20:19-29, we'll explore how Jesus meets us right where we are—locked doors and all—and gently invites us to loosen our grip and believe. In today's episode, we'll uncover what Doubting Thomas can teach us about softening our hearts, releasing control, and trusting God's surprises. You'll Discover: 👣 How to spot when certainty is quietly masquerading as faith 👣 Three gentle practices to loosen your grip this week 👣 Why Jesus didn't shame Thomas—and what that tenderness means for you ✨ Plus, you'll hear a heartfelt confession or two, a powerful reminder that you are a beloved child of God, and a tender prayer to help you open the door just a crack and let His light in. 📖 So, grab your tea, your Prayer Journal - https://riselovelive.com/Prayer%20Journal & Your Life Design journal - https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z and use PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! If you've been walking through this Lenten season with me — climbing the mountain, sitting in stillness, releasing what no longer serves you — then today's episode is your reward. It's time to exhale. Christ has risen indeed, and today we trade our ashes for beauty, step into the sunlight, and celebrate the sacrifice that set us free. We let the words from Paul Baloche's powerful song, "You Gave Your Life Away," and Isaiah 61 wash over us with promises of freedom and joy, and close with Kathryn Scott's gorgeous reminder that at the foot of the cross, we are made complete. This isn't just another Sunday or another new season — we are His fresh flowers, ready to bloom. In today's episode, we'll settle into the glorious truth of Easter and what it means as we step forward into a new season. You'll Discover: 👣 Why Easter is our exhale after the sacred work of Lent 👣 How to trade your ashes for beauty and step into what's next 👣 Why we are fresh flowers in His garden — needing only sunlight, rain, and grace to bloom 📖 So, grab your tea and your Live Your Life journal, available at: https://etsy.me/3Txdc1z — and use code PODCAST15 for 15% off any workbook! 🌟 Know someone who needs a little light? Hello, beautiful! As we enter Maundy Thursday, we step into one of the most sacred moments of Holy Week—a moment of quiet love, surrender, and presence. In this episode, we slow down together. Through reflection, scripture, and the powerful imagery of I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me, we’re invited to consider what it will feel like to stand before Jesus—and what it means to surrender fully before Him. Inspired by 1 John 3:2 and the humility Jesus showed as He washed His disciples’ feet, this episode is a gentle invitation to release striving, embrace stillness, and rest in a love that never leaves. As we prepare our hearts for Easter, this becomes a sacred pause… a moment to simply be with Him. In today’s episode, we reflect on what it means to be seen, known, and loved by Jesus—and how that love invites us into awe, surrender, and quiet worship. You’ll Learn: 👣 What Maundy Thursday teaches us about love, humility, and surrender 👣 How to embrace stillness instead of rushing toward the resurrection 👣 Why you are already worthy to come before Him—just as you are 🌟 Do you know someone who needs a quiet moment with God?
