Does God Even Care?

When life hurts, it's easy to wonder, "Does God even care about what I'm going through?" You've prayed. You've waited. You've cried. Yet nothing seems to change. But God's silence does not mean He has stopped caring. First Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Think about those words: He cares for you. God sees the tears nobody else sees. He knows about the worry keeping you awake at night. He understands the disappointment you've tried to hide behind a smile. And He hasn't forgotten you. You may not understand what God is doing right now, but you can trust His heart. He is closer than you think, working even when you cannot see evidence of it. Tonight, tell God exactly how you feel. You don't have to pretend you're okay. Bring Him your questions, fears, hurt, and disappointment. Then remember this truth: You matter to God. Your pain matters. Your prayers matter. Your life matters. Does God care? Yes. More deeply than you can possibly imagine.
