The Goncalves family though their attorney Shannon Grey stated that they didn't want the home demolished until after the trial is complete. The University has agreed on the stay. The court granted a 37-day stay of the speedy trial allowing a bit of extra time for the defense to prepare.In Utah Kouri Richins is not only pending trial on the alleged murder of her husband there are multiple civil lawsuits regarding the settling of Eric Richins estate. The estate is suing Kouri, Kouri is suing the estate and there are now motions regarding the Utah Slayer Statute. Finally, Sarah Silverman is suing OpenAI the company behind ChatGPT over the copyright of her book The Bedwetter.
