वास्तविकं शूरत्वम्

महान् शूरः अस्मि अहम् इति मन्यमानं सिकन्दरमहाराजं कश्चन महात्मा शूरः कः भवति इति बोधयति । लोके सप्त प्रकाराः शूराः भवन्ति इति विवृणोति । अन्ते सः पृच्छति 'एतेषु सप्तसु प्रकारेषु भवान् कीदृशप्रकारकः‌ शूरः?’ इति । महात्मनः निष्ठुराणि वचनानि श्रुतवतः महाराजस्य ज्ञानोदयः अभवत् । सः महात्मानं प्रणम्य मौनेन ततः प्रत्यगच्छत् ।(“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”)Alexander the Great, considering himself the greatest warrior, was once taught by a sage what true heroism means. The sage explained that there are seven kinds of heroes in the world and finally asked, “Among these seven, what kind of hero are you?” Hearing the sage’s stern words, the king experienced an awakening. He bowed to the sage and returned silently.
