This week, the boys are out at the Vauxhall Bedford Open Association National Rally and for the first time ever, a Pint of Petrol was recorded LIVE! Recorded earlier today with a pint in hand AND a special guest! Joining Tim and Ian this week is Shaun Broadbent, Chairman of the VBOA, and he'll be sharing the story of the Association and the journey its been on over the last 10 years. The boys also talk about old and new cars, plus the return of the fast Vauxhall. Oh, and the WORST EVER outro is sung by Ian and Shaun... close your ears for that bit!
This week, the boys are fixing Tim's beloved Calibra Turbo. It's failed it's MOT on three things... two lower arms and a main beam tell tale bulb. So, can they fix it before the England World Cup Semi Final...? To give them the best possible chance, they are starting a full 24hrs before kick off. Two arms and bulb, surely it can't be that hard... can it? Get ready for many thumps, lumps and the odd swear word. Mainly from Ian.
This week, the boys are off to the Banbury Classic Car meet in Ian's V8 Range Rover - cue many V8 sounds and very little speed. As well as drinking beer and muttering about classics, Tim has news from Ferrari and Dacia and Ian has a rant about eScooters. Oh, and Ian has roped Tim into a new show, the Big Land Rover Fest. Recorded in the sun in July 2026.
In the midst of the June 2026 heatwave, Tim's has donned in motorbike gear and headed to Ian's garden for this week's episode of A Pint of Petrol. Last week, Ian went to Doncaster to collect his new-to-him Vauxhall Insignia and, just seven days in, it's not going well... it's already broken and costing him money, which is his least favourite this in the world. Meanwhile, Tim is trying to desperately keep this week's episode on track whilst Ian is drink gin and crashing RC cars. The usual then... Recorded on the surface of the Sun, June 2026.
In this episode, the boys have said Goodbye to one car and hello to another. After Tim got totally messed around by a pair of time wasters last week, the nicest, kindest, most genuine young man has bought the timewarp Twingo. After six months, Tim wave bye-bye to the 14,000 mile survivor. Ian on the other hand has acquired yet another car... after he bought a competition ticket for just £20, he ended up winning a 90,000mile diesel Vauxhall Insignia. And if that wasn't bad enough, he's had to go all the way from Milton Keyne to Doncaster to get it! And that's not even the worst bit... wait till you hear how much it's cost to insure...
This week, time wasters have been testing Tim's patience. He is trying (and failing) to sell the timewarp Twingo and - despite it being in superb condition with a good advert and a keen price - people are wasting his time, much to Tim's annoyance. The boys also discuss the latest news from the week, include the new BMW M3, Ian buy's Tim a present AND Ian has WON a car... because he need another one! Enjoy! Recorded June 2026.
Tim's BMW is broken... much to Ian's delight. And what should have been a simple fix turned into an unbelievable saga, and as expected, Ian isn't about to let him of lightly. In this episode, the boys dive into the latest news, discuss the week's happenings from across the automotive world, and enjoy a good old-fashioned catch-up. Expect plenty of banter, many laughs at Tim's expense, and the usual mix of cars, opinions, and nonsense. Recorded June 2026
This week, Tim takes Ian out in the new Vauxhall Mokka GSE, Vauxhall's latest 281hp hot hatch. But is it a proper fast Vauxhall or just a Mokka with big wheels? Spoiler alert - it's the former - but you won't believe the impact it has on Ian. That's right, the old dinosaur actually has A LOT OF FUN in the new Mokka GSE... so much so, he behaves like a 17 year old. Enjoy this trip down memory lane as Vauxhall have genuinely made something rather brilliant.
