It's that time, the Super Rugby Final is here and the Paul is joined by Piri, Searley and Goldie to dissect it all!
Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. This week we look back at all the playoff action as the finals are confirmed to be all Kiwi teams. However, while appearing the same, all is not equal as the Blues are the only team in the playoffs who have got there off a loss. Is the lucky loser format a good or a bad thing for the competition? We start making some bold predictions about who will be taking out the comp, well is it bold to predict the Hurricanes at this point? Lastly, with a major international footballing tournament about to kick off, we compare Super Rugby teams with international football teams.
Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. The playoff picture has been painted, framed and hung on the wall, so when we take a step back and admire the image what do our panel see? Do they see the Blues making a playoff run? The Crusaders retaining? Or do the Chiefs finally conquer the mountain? Next we are looking 10 years into the future, Rugby’s future. What will the game look like in ten years in NZ? Has the black jerset lost its allure to young fans and if so how do we get it back? Speaking of the future, we look ahead to the massive clashes this weekend as the playoffs for this year’s Super Rugby begin.
Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. Today we are talking about Home and Away. No, not the classic Australian soap, but should the playoffs take inspiration from other comps and be home and away, with an aggregate total tries deciding the overall contest? We talk more about NPC and should we be looking to privatise the comp and bring in multiple leagues that would allow for promotion and relegation. We breakdown all of last week’s fixtures and try to figure out how the playoff picture will look ahead of the final round of Super Rugby regular season games. Lastly you may have seen we have a new couch in the studio and someone isn’t a fan of it.
Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. We are two weeks away from the playoffs and with some teams pretty much a lock in for the playoffs, is this a time to start resting players or is momentum too important. We breakdown all the action from the weekend. Can anyone stop the Hurricanes? Are the Chiefs setting themselves up to be the bridesmaid again this year? With Moana Pasifika sadly leaving the comp next year, we wonder how will the comp look next year? We read out your comments in response to who will be the next ABs captain, and there are come choice words.
Welcome back to another week of the Pick & Go. How did Fehi Fineanganofo not break the Super Rugby season try scoring record when the Hurricanes managed to put 50pts on Moana. Does he have the record on his mind or was he just unlucky. We look back at the results from the weekend and breakdown what went wrong with the Blues against the Crusaders. Jeff Wilson lets us know his criteria for getting into his All Blacks team, and what he wants to see more of if he was in charge. The Refs come under fire for their performance in the Highlanders game with our panel thinking that had the result not gone the Highlanders way there could have been problems. Finally, we’ve already picked Dave Rennie’s team, but what about the new ABs captain. Do our panel all agree on who will be leading out the team for the first test of the year, or is there a surprise pick?
Welcome back to the Pick and Go podcast. Fehi Fineanganofo is on track to break records for the Hurricanes, but he won’t be for the All Blacks as he heads overseas to join Newcastle Red Bull in the UK. Is it time to change the rules or is there a way to let overseas players play in the ABs while keeping Super Rugby strong. We discuss should Super Rugby be premium comp in NZ? Is it time for NPC to take its place as the top comp? We’re responding to punters law suggestions and putting them to two former All Blacks to see what they think. We of course review and preview all the latest Super Rugby action.
Welcome back to the Pick and Go podcast. It was a super weekend of Super Rugby as we celebrated Super Round in Christchurch. It was an amazing round of rugby and has left many wanting more Super Round action. The Crusaders did what needed to be done and put the win on the board to create history. There will be questions of the Warratahs performance and did they play with too much respect for the opposition? The NZ teams walked away with the wins and now 4 teams are in the top 5 of Super Rugby, so which team will go on to take out the comp?
