Jaylen Brown dropped a game-high 22 points in 17 minutes of action in his Philadelphia 76ers preseason debut, helping the Sixers to a 120-97 win over the New York Knicks. Not all good for Philly as reserve big man Ariel Hukporti left the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury and did not return. VJ Edgecombe scored 12 points, seven assists and four rebounds in 20 minutes. LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey all sat out for Philadelphia.
