When Jesus invites Thomas to “put your finger here, and look at my hands,” we commonly imagine Him scowling—He must be exasperated with this guy. But here’s a different take—Jesus is not put off or offended or surprised by Thomas’ doubts. Quite the opposite, actually… He sees Thomas for He is, but we do not.
