The international summer is under way and well...what a way to start. There's been some One Day Cup action across Tier 1 and Tier 2 to chat about including a blustery day in Southport. It was also great to chat to Phebe Molkenboer who is heading to her first World Cup with the Netherlands to hear all about the preparations.
There have been quite a few centurions this week in the One Day Cup and many of them have been stepping up for the first time.We are also joined by Worcestershire's Sophie Beech who of course scored a century at the weekend! She was also involved in the England U19 tour to Australia where she captained the side a few times.
Wednesday was madness! That's not the only topic on our minds as we've also had the T20 County Cup, England's World Cup Squad as well as another round of Tier 1 One Day Cup action so as always, plenty to get in to.We're also joined by Coco Streets who recently scored a century for Kent in Tier 2's One Day Cup.
Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and international, we're covering it all this week as Richard drove up and down the country to watch cricket. We are joined by Glamorgan's Bea Ellis to discuss everything from bat gauges to wanting to be a firefighter...and of course some cricket! We'll be back next week but in the meantime, our Instagram & TikTok is @noughtiechildpodcast and our Bluesky is @00Child Podcast so drop us a follow to stay up to date!
The 2026 county season is underway! We've been at two Tier 1 games this week so we discuss the first two rounds. We're going to save the Tier 2 chat for next week too. It's a pleasure to be joined by Leicestershire leg-spinner April Herathge who speaks to us about Leicestershire last season, their ambitions for this year as well as the other side of her life training to be a surgeon. Wisden is also out and you may spot a familiar name in there!
