Episode Description from the Publisher

Our world celebrates the people who are the loudest, strongest, most influential, and most successful. We are told that if we want to get ahead, we must promote ourselves, demand our rights, and prove our worth. Yet as Jesus continues the greatest sermon ever preached, He once again turns our assumptions upside down. After teaching that true blessing begins with recognizing our spiritual poverty and grieving over our sin, He now declares, "Blessed are the humble, for they will inherit the earth." To His first hearers, who were longing for a Messiah to overthrow Rome through power and conquest, these words must have seemed astonishing. But Jesus reveals that His kingdom is not advanced by pride, self-reliance, or worldly strength. Instead, it belongs to those who willingly submit themselves to God, trusting His grace rather than their own abilities. Far from being weakness, biblical humility is strength surrendered to God—and it is through that humble dependence that we experience the blessings and promises of His kingdom.
