There have never been three more sophisticated, informed, or serious MotoGP commentators than those screaming bastards on Italian TV. Or those stuttering Pom pumpernickels who keep saying “penultimate” because its fancier than “second-last”. They’re pretty good at this MotoGP commentary stuff. And there’s a few Spanish commentators who are the top of their game. We’re not them.

The racing was boring but the soap opera never is. Sachsenring delivered more off track drama than on but the key word is 'drama'. That's all the boys need to build an episode and this is one of their best. Throw in Borrie's Poem, an email from Jack and George's take on the 'Mav situation' and it's hard to believe you haven't already pressed 'Play'. Or signed up for the Patreon Pit Crew. But you can fix both of those things right now and not only will it elevate you in the eyes of your friends and colleagues but it will give us money to spend on strippers and beer. It's how the economy works folks, we don't make the rules. Are you still here? And suddenly the Championship is interesting. Six weeks ago it looked like the season belonged to Aprilia but seemingly out of nowhere it has turned into a five way fight for the title. The crew breaks down a great weekend of racing at Assen plus Iannone has been in touch with an update, Borrie has a poem his wife thought he shouldn't read aloud and Dear George laments the ongoing saga of working with BatMav. Meanwhile, if you're feeling guilty about getting all this for free make things right with whatever higher power you believe in and join the Patreon Pit Crew. It's simple to sign up and you can relax in the knowledge your money is continuing the lord's work at strip clubs and bars across the country. It really is a win/win. Cal Crutchlow was hot (as were the Czechian girls), Bez lost his mind and - predictably - Marc Marquez walked away with the points. Just another ho-hum weekend of the greatest sport in the history of the world. Our three wannabe analysts (plus special guest Pete Voorst from Compass Expeditions) break down all that plus indulge in the usual madness that has made this podcast what it is today. Whatever that is. There's Dear George, Borrie's poem and a special guest interview from the Monday Knee Jerk Reaction show usually available only to Patreon members. What's that I hear you say? You're not a Patreon member? Well that seems an odd life choice. Luckily, you can correct this oversight by heading to patreon.com and searching MotoPG. It's good for us because you can give us money but it's good for you, too, because you'll be eligible to win the prizes the freeloaders can't. It's a win/win no matter how you look at it.
It's Borrie's worst nightmare come to life. Not only did Marc Marquez do Marc Marquez things in Hungary at the weekend but Tug has done the calculations and it seems that mathematically the Spaniard can still win the championship. Pray for the Big Man (and anyone nearby to him if Marquez pulls off what seemed impossible just three races ago.) The boys discuss that plus the racing in all three classes as well as the important stuff: The Simone Flatterson Grid Girl Critique and Man Boob Care (a particular highlight this week) Borrie's Poem, Jack's update and we hear from Dear George and Jake 'Massive' Dixon as well. What are you waiting for? This podcast won't listen to itself so press play then head to Petreon and sign up for the Pit Crew to become a full member of the Moto PG family (and give us money. That's the important part - the money. We don't care if you actually listen or not.) IMPORTANT: Below you will find a list of our sponsors. We expect you to support them by buying stuff from them. This is a team game and we've done our part, time for you to do yours. Is Aprilia the new Ducati? Is Trooper Lu our new home? How long before we get deplatformed from YouTube? These questions and more answered in episode 202 as the boys record from a new venue and Aprilia continues to flip the script on their Italian cousins with a 1-2 finish at Mugello. But as always that's just part of the fun as we hear from Jake Dixon after his first ride back from injury, Borrie regales us with a poem and Jorge gives an update on how his coaching career is progressing in his weekly Dear George update. All of this is free (yes, hard to believe) but it's even better if you pony up a few dollars to join our Patreon Pit Crew where you not only have a chance to win great prizes but you also get exclusive access to our new knee jerk reaction show recorded on Mondays. More importantly,it means we have some of your money which we can use for beer and strippers and other important research. Head to Patreon to sign up then hit the play button to enjoy this week's madness. It's usually said in jest but 'At least nobody died' describes the weekend at Catalunya perfectly. There are some broken bodies and one exploded motorcycle but rarely has it been truer to say genuinely 'At least nobody died'. Which is good news because it means our three intrepid hosts can be their usual juvenile, puerile, profane selves. And that they are in episode 201 with analysis of everything that happened in Spain plus all your favourites like Borrie's poem, Massive's Missive, Dear George and Freido's Balls. All that is free but you really should join our Patreon Pit crew so you are elgible to win all the prizes PLUS you now get our bonus Monday night 'knee jerk' show. You're mad if you don't get on board. IMPORTANT: Below you will find a list of our sponsors. We expect you to support them by buying stuff from them. It is fitting that this, a milestone episode of the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast in the Universe, should fall on the week of one of the great annual Moto GP events. Like so much in life (language, wine, cheese, women, sex) the French just get it right. That is not, of course, true for our three intrepid analysts. In fact, you could make the case for the opposition without having to expend too much mental energy or even leaving your chair. But that would mean the joke is on you because this disorganised shambles of a 'podcast' has just published its 200th episode. That's right, 200. Terrible score in golf, rarefied air in this caper. There's some chat about that achievement and some nice congratulatory messages but really, episode 200 is just like the 199 that have come before it. It's about motorcycles and riding them stupidly fast with a side order of the soap opera that makes this the greatest sport in the world. So plug in, press play and allow yourself to bask in the reflected glory of Boris, Tug and Freido because the truth is if it wasn't for you, the listener, none of this would be possible. Oh, and don't forget to join the Patreon Pit Crew if you haven't already. It's the best and easiest way to give us money and who doesn't want to do that?
