Playing at Monument events is always something special. So many people come together with a shared intention of creating something meaningful. At a time when there's so much negativity surrounding events and communities, it gives us hope that we can still create spaces where people feel safe to be themselves, connect with one another and immerse themselves in something we build together. Of course, it comes with its challenges. We often have less than a day to transform an empty space into a fully functioning event, but experiences like these remind me that, with a dedicated and creative team, it's possible to build something extraordinary. It becomes less about resources and more about the people who are willing to create structure, solve problems, and make it happen. For this edition, we wanted to invite Cobahn and Scøpe while also continuing Monument's long standing commitment to giving space to emerging artists. Supporting new talent has always been an important part of our identity. It isn't always the easiest path, but we're fortunate to be in a position where we can embrace those challenges and help create opportunities for artists who deserve them. Some words from the artist - I wanted to keep people dancing by blending bouncy grooves with straighter, driving tracks. As the morning sun started pouring onto the dancefloor, I wanted to bring a bit more happiness to the crowd, so I began playing brighter and more danceable tracks. I hope everyone who listens to this recording can feel the atmosphere and energy of that special moment. Follow : https://www.instagram.com/scope_kim/ https://soundcloud.com/scopekim
