Radical Responsibility: When Life Chooses You - E213

What if the very thing draining your energy every day isn't your circumstances, but the hours you spend rehearsing a future that hasn't happened yet? Dr. JC Doornick is currently navigating a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and instead of talking around it, he uses it as the live case study for the system his book and coaching are built on: the Interface Response System. He walks through what he calls radical responsibility, introduces a concept from his next book called Carency, the limited currency of care, time, and attention we all spend, and explains why he's stopped bracing for what might happen so he can actually show up for what is happening. Along the way he pulls in Jim Dethmer's above the line and below the line framework, Mel Robbins on why no one is coming to save you, and Steve Jobs on connecting the dots, then leaves listeners with a challenge for the week ahead.
