67. War Day 8: The Illusion of Demons & The Sacrifice of Iravan

On the eighth day of the Kurukshetra war, the battlefield resembles a turbulent ocean as Bhishma deploys the massive Oormi Vyuh (Ocean Formation). The day is dominated by the terrifying might of illusion-wielding warriors. Ghatotkach unleashes unprecedented destruction upon the Kaurava ranks, forcing Duryodhan to deploy his own demonic ally, Alambush. The climax of the day is a heartbreaking one: Arjun’s valiant Naga son, Iravan, fights a fierce and magical duel against Alambush but tragically falls in battle. Meanwhile, a furious Bheem continues to fulfill his deadly vow, slaying several more of Dhritarashtra's sons and pushing the Kaurava camp further into despair.
