POSTCAST: DISASTROUS Return To Rotation For David Peterson, Mets UNABLE To Build Momentum

David Peterson struggled in his return to the rotation, as the New York Mets were blown out in a 14-2 loss.  For as comfortable as last night's win was for the Mets, tonight was the complete opposite. They were down 2-0 before they even got to bat as the Washington Nationals got to Peterson for three hits in the first inning.  It was, however, the 4th inning were things collapsed for Peterson and the Mets. All nine Nationals got to bat, they scored a run via a single, a walk and a hit batter before Brady House brought the house down with a grand slam to give the Nationals a 9-1 lead.  The offense for the Mets was basically Juan Soto and Juan Soto alone. He had a three hit night that included a solo home, his second his two games.
