Kissing for Science & The AI's Doomsday Clock

Hey Lifers!   Welcome back to your Wednesday episode, we’re going from group chat nude disasters to the actual end of the world, and somehow it all makes sense… maybe? 😂   We kick off with something suspicious happening with smartphones, before diving into a listener's mortifying story about a fitness-challenge weigh-in photo that went very, very wrong in the group chat. That spirals into a full debate on accidental nudes, a cowboy hat photo that ended a study group friendship, and the great "archived d pic" theory (girls, do you think they save them down?).   Then we get into it: Apparently the average goodbye kiss lasts less than a second, but science says six seconds is the magic number for connection. So… I guess we now all have  a 30-day kissing challenge? There's also a very funny detour into New Zealand vs Australian vocab (RIP to Ben, who spent a whole afternoon believing Melbourne had built a public "birthing" pontoon), a Jason Momoa red carpet encounter that still haunts Soph to this day,   And then we get into the deep stuff. How far do you you push your kids to build resilience? What’s the balance and how do we know if we’re being too soft as a society, or maybe it’s a good thing? Then we unpack the AI thread that's taken over everyone's feed this week: a former Anthropic/OpenAI researcher publicly warning AI could "kill us all by 2030”.
