Episode Description from the Publisher

These poems, I remember were my favourites among tens of other poems that we were taught in school textbooks. The first poem talks about the Palanquin Bearers. A term that has lost it's meaning with Indian weddings evolving with time. The graceful poem is a song being sung by the people who are carrying and escorting the newly wedded bride to her new home- that of her husband. The bride sits in a small wooden box being carried on shoulders by the Palanquin bearers. The next poem, talks about our choices. The difference between choosing easy and choosing right.
