Reheating the Rivalry - A Heated Rivalry Q&A (Part Twelve)

Before we get into this week's Q&A episode, we discuss the incredible announcement of the real life Irina Foundation! Focusing on Inclusivity and Mental Health awareness, the foundation "envisions a world where LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and underserved communities experience genuine belonging and opportunity through organized sports and arts programs - creating inclusive spaces that build confidence, connection, and a strong sense of community." This week in NYC, Rachel Reid, alongside cast members and the founders Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady of Accent Aigu Entertainment, all gathered together to formally launch the initiative and discuss the characters and series that inspired it. I chat a little bit about that here to open up the episode! Then this week's Q&A questions dive into a few topics: How can the show tackle Ilya's characterization in season 2 both visually and thematically? Should the show change a plot point in TLG that happens predominantly off-screen? We also tackle another hockey-related question to wrap things up. Let's talk.
