Als Teenager beginnt er seine Arrangements zu Geld zu machen, als Twenty-Something ist er ein Jazz-Star: Der Arrangeur, Komponist und Baritonsaxophonist Gerry Mulligan war Mitte des 20.Jahrhunderst eine prägende Jazzfigur. Als er 1996 stirbt, kommt die Saxophonistin Charlotte Lang gerade mal zur Welt. Trotzdem ist für sie, die neben eigenen Bandprojekten auch als Baritonsaxophonistin im Swiss Jazz Orchestra sitzt, die Musik von Mulligan bis heute matchentscheidend.
