In this sermon we continue our summer sermon series, Come Follow Me, as we journey through the Gospel of Mark. In Mark 4, Jesus tells one of His most well-known parables—the Parable of the Soils. While the seed remains the same, the condition of the soil determines whether it takes root and produces a harvest. Through this simple yet powerful story, Jesus invites us to look beyond the surface and examine the condition of our own hearts. As we follow Jesus together, we'll discover that the greatest obstacle to spiritual growth isn't the power of God's Word—it's our willingness to receive it. Is our faith becoming shallow? Are the worries and distractions of life choking out what God wants to do in us? Or are we cultivating hearts that are ready to hear, trust, and obey? Join us this Sunday as we discover what it means to become the kind of people who bear lasting fruit for the Kingdom of God.
