7/19/26 - Operation Nightwatch (Shelley Dooley and Anita Hale)

Shelly Dooley is the Managing Director for Operation Nightwatch in Seattle; Anita Hale is the Development Director. Operation Nightwatch began over 50 years ago as a street ministry, providing a listening ear, a bit of food, and a heart full of compassion to persons who were living on the streets. This outreach and support have only increased as housing has become more unaffordable for so many, their circumstances in a downward spiral. Operation Nightwatch provides a daily meal and caring connection each evening, with volunteers (who are always well needed) cooking and serving the 150 persons who line up.In a given year, at least 5,000 individuals receive food and connection to services. Some housing is also provided for women and senior men.
