Why else would you have clicked on this? Do you lie awake at night analyzing some random conversation you had in 2009 on a loop? Or every one since then? In an economy of attention where our minds are on overdrive every second of every day it seems damn near impossible to pump the brakes on our inner chatter. We might feel okay when we’re distracted externally with work or streaming or scrolling, but when we’re not, BOY can we think ourselves into holes—these holes keep us stuck and unable to feel peace or pursue our goals. My hope is to inspire people to take a breath, get their brain out of the way a little, and take one step forward at a time. I started many things in middle age: guitar, piano, Italian, PARENTING, even farming (I still don't think I'm ready for goats, Lydia)…and what I realized is that it’s never

It's another Gen X stream-of-consciousness with Chris and Mike! Also, Chris's recent appreciation of the film "Cars 2" leads to yet another deep dive into the possible physiology of the cars. What are they? Fully mechanical? Or like turtles with hard shells and organs inside?? Yes, it's technically a podcast, but these are really the types of conversations they would have anyway. Chris and Mike record an episode on their phones in a hotel room in Austin, TX! Clearly, the walls were a bit thin, as you can occasionally hear people walking by in the hallway. That means it must have been a BLAST for anyone in the surrounding rooms to listen to a live podcast recording! Fortunately for everyone, this was recorded early in the afternoon. Ahhhh, technology. .. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Chris and Mike immediately deep dive into a Jetsons/Flintstones theory that will rock cartoon science! Possibly! Or not.
