Episode Description from the Publisher

Yukmouth is a legendary rapper from East Oakland and one half of the Luniz. He grew up in the 65 Village where his entire family was involved in the dope game, and rap became a way out. This led Luniz to sign with C&H, release the smash hit “I Got 5 On It,” and tour with Notorious BIG. As a solo artist he signed with Rap-A-Lot Records and released a string of solo albums and projects with his collective The Regime. Join the Patreon for bonus content: https://patreon.com/dregsone--History of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aaOnline Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlAInstagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_oneTikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_oneTwitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_oneFacebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone4150:00 Intro2:07 The Vill3:57 Felix Mitchell & Black Panthers12:27 Family in the dope game19:34 Rap in Oakland25:58 Founding the Luniz33:14 Five On It38:41 Too Short, Player Hater & Funkin Over Nothin44:40 Master P51:03 Touring with Biggie & Bad Boy55:42 2pac & One Nation57:50 Rap-A-Lot1:00:56 Thugged Out The Albulation1:04:38 The Regime1:07:04 Mac Dre1:16:26 Hyphy movement1:19:02 Moving to LA1:21:14 Numskull
