Tony Iommi has told Classic Rock that producer Andrew Watt — the man behind Ozzy Osbourne's final two solo albums — offered to record one more Black Sabbath album with the original lineup, Bill Ward included, and that he turned it down. Iommi said Watt was "a bit too excited" and didn't understand what working with the original band was like, adding that having already been through the 13 sessions with Rick Rubin he didn't want to go straight into another record.
