Willems, the brilliant filmmaker and video essayist behind the eponymous YouTube channel who is responsible for crafting some of the most insightful and well produced video essays of the last several years, including his pieces on directors as diverse as Francis Ford Coppola and Zack Snyder amongst so many other greats. Patrick joined Billy on the pod’ to reminiscence about his early days on YouTube when he started out producing work such as ‘What if Wes Anderson Directed X-Men?"'‘ before breaking out with video essays on filmmaking and then evolving his craft from there. He also touched on his strategies for avoiding “YouTube burnout”, teased what fans can look forward to in his upcoming season of videos and recounted his experience meeting Tom Cruise at the Mission Impossible premiere following the success of ‘Mission Impatssible’ (as well as his top three personal favourite Cruise movies).
